Even in this economy, most of us will experience the joys of the holiday season with shopping, travel, parties and family get togethers! Its hard to imagine that just across the globe 1500000 children are suffering many orphaned due to the HIV epidemic plaguing the impoverished nation of Malawi, Africa, one of the most densely populated countries on the continent. The national rate of infection results in 85000 deaths from AIDS each year—enough people to fill an average stadium. HIV/AIDS has had a particularly devastating impact on children who have lost both parents to the disease. Orphans and vulnerable children have no one to turn to for guidance when dealing with harsh living conditions. Youth of Malawi Inc. is a Non-Profit Corporation dedicated to enriching the lives of the young people of Malawi, Africa. The groups mission is to provide the youth of this impoverished nation with recreational activities to brighten their lives. In April 2010, Youth of Malawi is sponsoring their inaugural event a trip to Malawi to take 300 orphans to the beach on the shores of Lake Malawi.
